COMMON RULES FOR ALL CATEGORIES

How to enter the competition –

  1. Fill up the registration form
  2. Make a payment of Rs.1,000/- for Students category, Rs.1,500/- for Home Bakers category  and Rs.2,000/- for Chefs category through the registration link
  3. There are no refunds or carry over of the registration fees from one category to another


Things to keep in mind during assembly –

  1. On arrival, mark your attendance at the registration desk with your registration number.
  2. You will be given a competitor badge, it should be worn at all times.
  3. One helper is allowed for each competitor. Helper will be given their badge which should be worn at all times.
  4. Each competitor will be allotted a specific time for assembly which will be emailed a week before the competition. It will be a maximum of 30 minutes and the competitor should be well prepared to setup the entire cake within the specific assembly time.
  5. Two labels with your registration number will be given to you during registration. One label should be stuck on your cake board and the other under the cake board for safety.
  6. You need to bring a brief note about your cake, the techniques used, inspirations and any other information that you want to share about your creation. It needs to be printed in A3 sized paper. An A3 sized holder will be given to each competitor which should be used to insert your information note and be placed behind your competition entry. Your name or any information revealing the competitors identity will lead to disqualification of the entry.

Security & Safety –

  1. We will provide reasonable security to your competition entries, but the organizers are not responsible for any loss or damages caused to the entries.

Judging Criteria -
Judging will be done on the below criteria

  1. Finesse
  2. Techniques used
  3. Aesthetics of decorative elements used on the cake
  4. Taste, texture & flavor of the cake.

Results –

  1. Judging will take place between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm.
  2. Finalists will be Top 25 entries and it will be announced during the first cut off results at 3:30 pm.
  3. Final results will be announced between 5pm and 7pm.
  4. All the Top 25 finalists should be present during the prize distribution.

 


Removal of your Competition entries
  1. Once the first cut off results are announced, all participants are requested to remove your competition entries from the venue.
  2. If your competition entry still remains at the venue after 6pm it will be removed by the organizers. Competitors may not claim their cake after it has been removed by the organizers.

By Entering the OPEN CAKE CHALLENGE, each competitor should abide by the rules and regulations mentioned above.
